Meal Solutions Make A Difference

Eating on the run or grabbing instant meals at the grocery store has a negative impact on health. 

The most inflaming foods are grains, sugars, and seed oils.  They might taste good, but they send an acidic soup of inflammation to every organ.

Inflammation is the root problem of most every disease process. All the labs, blood pressure readings, tests, etc. go into the bad range when inflammation is out of control. 

Yes, it takes practice to get the grains, sugars, and seed oils out of your diet.  It doesn't have to be intimidating or complicated.  

Yes, some foods must be avoided.  But there are plenty of tasty alternatives that won't inflame.

Fast Change with Food Change


The short answer is you can see health changes in a matter of weeks when adopting a low carb high fat diet. It takes no real change to your food budget.  If a bunch of your friends are on board with you, it's easier and more fun.  

There is a little self education involved.  There is a big change in food choices that may seem daunting at first.  But the new experience of better health changes your appetite for good.  There is such a wide plethora of delicious healthy meal choices out there that you don't miss the junk foods.

My journey may be like yours.

I didn't like hearing about our food supply being so bad.  And it's real bad.  Chemicals.  Poisonous chemicals.   GMO.  Preservatives. Pesticides in your food used as a preservative.  Yuck!  Over-processing.  Some foods are actually called "anti-nutrients," but people gobble it up and have poor health. 

I didn't think I had a bad diet.   Ha Ha Ha.  I was fooling myself.  That's why I created Low Carb Currency.  So you could prove yourself right!  

I have been following a paleo/low carb high fat diet since 2010.  I've had ups and downs.  During the downs I lied to myself and said the food I was eating was not doing bad things to my body. (eg. blood pressure, blood sugar, weight gain.)

When I really tweaked things, I was amazed.  
As a chiropractor I knew the micro-nutrients were important, but when your macro-nutrients are a mess, there's no way your chiropractic adjustments or your supplements (micro-nutrients) can help you reach your health goals. 

Remind me to talk about how I was setting myself up for depression, fibromyalgia, diabetes, and cancer.  Ask me how I got rid of anxiety overnight. 

So tweaking things may sound scary.  I do not eat a lot of foods we used to call healthy.  Even foods that used to be on the old food pyramid.   The new food pyramid is still all wrong. 

But the foods I eat now can be easily prepared, they taste great and you don't miss the old tempting foods that make you sick.

I do a lot of health talks, but doing them in your kitchen is much more fun.  We all love to eat, so lets get together.  We can learn and eat. 

Let's take the stress out of meal planning and prepping. Let's enjoy our food and feel the difference in our health.

Food Freedom: What Does It Look Like?

Welcome to a meal revolution.
You're invited to join me on a healing and rewarding adventure I call the meal revolution.  We all know what we eat impacts our health.  It sure is a challenge to keep the best foods at close hand and avoid the tempting processed foods that ruin our health. 

Meal time is a wonderful time to regain your health, restore your family's health, and invigorate the social benefits of enjoying meals with others. 

I do a lot of teaching.  It is fun to share what has brought me better health.  People like parties and the group environment opens up some super powerful discussions.  So, let's dive in.  We can have a good time getting healthy.

What are some things food freedom offers you?

1- Meal prep becomes an enjoyable hobby. Plus, it's only time consuming if you want it to be.

When you have the best foods available, you can experience the creative artistry within your soul.  You can have a cooking show in your own kitchen.  If you do choose to make more time consuming recipes, it's like a meditation.  It's a quiet time rest your mind.  


2- Trips to the grocery store can be quick because you're ultra-focused on the best foods.

When you know exactly what you're making for meals at home, the list is done.  That's all you buy.  You don't wander every aisle wondering what to eat.  

3- Food addictions are a thing of the past.

Anticipating foods is so much better than craving foods.  Experience the difference. Binge eating a comfort food leaves you feel sick and bloated.  When we cook better foods, we feel better about it. 

4- Weight loss is not on your mind, because you're only eating actual food that transforms and heals the body.

This is the best part of my health talks. Eating for weight loss seems to be to regimented and unrewarding, and there's not much weight loss.  Eating for health provides many benefits.  Weight loss is merely called a pleasant side effect. 

5- The social aspect of eating becomes enjoyable because food obsessions are gone.

Let's enjoy the people we are with.  Let's have a good time laughing hard, telling jokes, sharing memories.  When the food is easy to prepare and satisfying, we have more energy to enjoy the company.
